Chemical Peels

Cellular renewal with specialized acids for smoother, brighter skin.

Duration

30-45 minutes

Recovery

2-7 days of light peeling

Results

Progressive over 5-7 days

Chemical peels use carefully selected acids to remove damaged outer layers of skin, promoting cellular turnover and revealing fresher, more even-toned skin beneath. We customize the peel type and strength to your specific skin concerns and goals.

The treatment

How does it work?

Chemical peels work by applying a carefully formulated acid solution to the skin, which causes a controlled exfoliation of the outermost layers. Depending on your skin concerns and goals, we select from superficial peels (glycolic, lactic, or mandelic acid), medium-depth peels (TCA), or combination formulas. The acid dissolves the bonds between dead and damaged skin cells, prompting your body to shed them and generate fresh, healthier cells underneath.

During the application, you may feel a mild tingling or warmth — this is the acid working on the skin's surface. Your specialist monitors the reaction carefully and neutralizes the solution at precisely the right moment to achieve the desired depth of exfoliation without going too far. This controlled approach is what separates a professional peel from over-the-counter products.

In the days following the treatment, the old skin gradually peels away to reveal smoother, more luminous skin with fewer imperfections. With each session, deeper concerns such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne scars become progressively less visible as new collagen is stimulated in the deeper layers of the skin.

Candidates

Who is it for?

Chemical peels are ideal for patients dealing with uneven skin tone, sun damage, melasma, superficial acne scars, fine lines, or a generally dull complexion. They are particularly effective for those who want noticeable improvement without the downtime associated with more invasive procedures. Peels can be tailored for nearly every skin type and concern, though patients with darker skin tones require careful selection of peel type and concentration to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. During your consultation, we assess your skin's specific needs and choose the safest, most effective formulation for your individual case.

Frequently asked questions

Superficial peels may cause light flaking for 2 to 3 days, while medium-depth peels can produce more noticeable peeling that lasts 5 to 7 days. Not all patients experience visible peeling — some notice only a subtle texture change. Regardless, the cellular renewal is happening beneath the surface.

Yes, but with additional precautions. Lighter peels can be performed year-round as long as you commit to rigorous daily sunscreen application (SPF 50+) and avoid direct sun exposure. We may recommend postponing deeper peels until a less sunny season or adjusting the formula accordingly.

Most patients achieve excellent results with a series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your skin condition and goals. Maintenance peels every 2 to 3 months help sustain results long-term.
